Today marks the end of a 15-year relationship with the Rajapaksas, Secretary-General of Ceylon Workers’ Congress and MP Jeevan Thondaman said.

While addressing the May Day rally of the Ceylon Workers’ Congress, he said that there is no need for him to hold office in the present government, which has caused so much suffering to the people.

Because of this, the Ceylon Workers Congress has decided to withdraw its support to the government, he further said.
