A delegation from the Vedda community visits Jaffna

• They are scheduled to attend several programmes and religious observances at important places of worship

A delegation of  indigenous people lead by Uruvarigelage Vannila Ettho is on a visit to the North. The delegation included about 100 members of the Vedda community.  
They were accorded a warm welcome by the Civil Society organizations in Jaffna and provided all facilities for their visit.  

Vannila Ettho said it was for the first time they visited Jaffna and met the people in the North and that he would make it an opportunity to educate school children on the indigenous people in the country. During their visit they are scheduled to attend several programmes and religious observances at important places of worship.
