A meeting between Ceylon Workers’ Congress and President



A meeting between the Ceylon Workers’ Congress and President Gotabaya Rajapaksa was held at the President’s House in Colombo yesterday.


During this meeting, plans to establish a University in the hill country at the request of the Ceylon Workers’ Congress and several points, including increasing the daily wage of estate workers to Rs. 1,000 and the Teaching Assistant appointments was discussed. Leader of the Ceylon Workers’ Congress Senthil Thondaman, State Minister Jeevan Thondaman, and Member of Parliament M. Rameshwaran were also present at the occasion.
