• Motorists can register vehicles with Revenue Licence

The QR system under the National Fuel Pass will be effective from today across the country and the last digit on number plate, tokens and other systems that were in place will be invalid and the QR system and quota will be applied, the Power and Energy Ministry said.  

They said the fuel distribution will be prioritized for filling stations that adopt the QR system. The system will be monitored to check the number of users of QR from the stocks distributed to filling stations.  

The ministry requested all three-wheelers to register with respective police stations and to nominate the closest filling station to them requested generator users, garden equipment, machinery, and other equipment that require fuel, to register at the respective divisional Secretariats with the type of fuel required, weekly fuel requirement, and the choice of the filling station.   

Motorists who are not able to register with their vehicle Chassis Numbers, would be able to register their vehicles with the Revenue License number from yesterday.
