Another 51 COVID-19 in the Boossa prison have been identified, increasing the number of CORONA infected detainees reported from the Boossa prisons to 768 by yesterday morning. 

Coordinating Officer of the Southern Province COVID-19 Control Centre Chamara Mahagamage said 56 detainees were PCR- tested on Sunday and 51 of them were infected. 

He said 34 of them would be transferred to Angunukolapelessa prison and the rest quarantined in the Boossa prison.
