Another fuel scarcity likely from today



  • They had not received the 60% revision in fares demanded by private fuel bowser owners
  • The association withdrew from operations as of midnight against the failure to revise the transportation costs

The Ceylon Petroleum Private Bowser Owners Association (CPPBOA) yesterday warned that there would be another fuel shortage in the country from today due to the strike, which they had launched from Saturday (April 30).    

They told the Daily Mirror that they had not received the 60% revision in fares demanded by private fuel bowser owners.   


He said the impact of the suspension of fuel transport operations would be felt from tomorrow.   


The association withdrew from operations as of midnight against the failure to revise the transportation costs in comparison to the increased fuel prices.
