U.S. Ambassador Julie Chung said as petrol lines and power cuts increase, tensions naturally rise but boiling over will not address Sri Lanka’s  urgent needs. In a Twitter message, she said she urged authorities to exercise restraint under these difficult circumstances.  “Any excessive use of force should be quickly investigated,” she tweeted.
