State Minister Vidura Wickramanayaka said the only way to overcome the prevailing crisis was to appoint a cabinet comprising honest, intelligent and well-experienced personalities or else the government of President Gotabaya Rajapaksa will not have a forward march. 

He told the media during a ceremony in the Kandy District Secretariat that first of all the dishonest consultants giving dead ropes to the leaders would be removed.  “The people who are already facing hardship due to the high cost of living would be further burdened by the fuel price hike.  He said the individuals who ordered the consignment of Chinese fertilizer should be held responsible for any irregularity and that they should pay compensation for the ship.
