Ayurvedic treatment for Covid-19 patients has begun in seven intermediate treatment centres in the Eastern Province, Governor Anuradha Yahampath said.  

The Governor told Daily Mirror yesterday seven Ayurvedic hospitals were converted as 
treatment centres .  

She said asymptomatic patients would be admitted to these centres and given Ayurvedic treatment.  “If any of them develops serious symptoms such as breathing difficulties, they will be transferred immediately,” she said.  Asked about the Covid-19 situation, she said it was spreading quite past, particularly in the Trincomalee district.
