Justice Minister Ali Sabry has instructed the Secretary to the Justice Ministry to nullify the gazette issued on the Prohibition of Obscene Publications on December 24 2021.

Accordingly, the Justice Minister has given instructions to Secretary to the Justice Ministry to re-submit an amended bill to the Cabinet.  

The bill is to be introduced for the welfare of child abuse victims and to protect the privacy of women subject to harassment but not to curtail the freedom of expression.
