The Bribery Commission has started investigating a complaint against former MP Diana Gamage regarding the abuse of state finance and assets as an MP, knowing she is a non-Sri Lankan and a British citizen.

A complaint has been lodged against her by Kamantha Thushara, the Chairman of the Citizen’s Movement Against Fraud, Corruption, and Waste.

According to the complaint, her enjoyment of privileges as an MP amounts to fraud. She lost her parliamentary seat over a court case challenging 
her citizenship.
