Canadian study reaffirms vaccines work against Covid -19



  • It typically takes about two weeks for the body to build protection after vaccination
  • A vast majority of infections,hospitalisation and deaths have been among the un vaccinated
  • A person could get sick if the vaccine has not had enough time to provide protection

A Canadian study has reaffirmed that vaccines work against Covid -19 despite a small percentage of people getting sick , hospitalized or even dying after vaccination.

The research findings,widely shared on Twitter, says it typically takes about two weeks for the body to build protection after vaccination.


Professor of Immunology and Molecular Medicines Neelika Malavige is among those who re-tweeted it, a person could get sick if the vaccine has not had enough time to provide protection, the study says. 


The Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC) has done the study. Canada has released new data on COVID-19 cases. According to it the vast majority of infections  hospitalizations and deaths have been among the unvaccinated.
