Colombo Commercial High Court to hear leading footwear company’s case on Nov. 20

Colombo Commercial High Court is to hear the contempt of court case on November 20, which was filed against the director board of the leading footwear company Samson Group for relieving the duties of one of its directors against the court’s jurisdiction.   
The case has been filed against the company’s Managing Director Kasun Rajapaksha, Director Thusitha Rajapaksha, Bhathiya Amarakoon, Asanka Rajapaksha, Nelani Rajapaksha and Company Secretary Waruni de Silva for relieving the duties of Sajith Rajapaksha as a Director.   
The company director board had relieved the duties of Sajith Rajapksha, who acted as the managing director of three companies under the group and acted as director of five other companies under the same group.   
Sajith Rajapaksha, through his attorneys had informed the court about the developments and the court had ruled that the former be reinstated in his positions.
