People were seen trading vesak lanterns and purchasing them in the streets of Colombo on May 13, 2022 as Vesak Full Moon Poya Day when  Buddhists commemorate the birth of Prince Siddhartha and attainment of Buddhahood and his death is round the corner. Full Moon Poya day falls on May 15,  2022.
