With the relaxation of Covid curbs, there is the risk of mini clusters emerging, an epidemiologist said. The epidemiologist who insisted on anonymity due to himself not being authorized to talk to the press said it would not lead to a major outbreak because of the successful vaccination drive. 

Referring to the current increase of cases, he said such upward and downward fluctuations could be expected.
“We don’t think it will lead to a major spike because of the efficacy of vaccination. We have vaccinated the bulk of our population,” he said.
