Covid curve flattens triggering concerns



  • The health authorities had taken note of the flattening of the curve after a drop in the number of cases for days earlier

The Covid curve of Sri Lanka has flattened around 550 daily cases triggering concerns whether it will lead to another spike , a Minister said .   

State Minister of Production , Supply and Regulation of Pharmaceuticals Prof. Channa Jayasumana told Daily Mirror that the health authorities had taken note of the flattening of the curve after a drop in the number of cases for days earlier .   


The Minister said the increased public mobility after relaxation of curbs could be the plausible reason for the current situation. 

 
“We remain alert . The situation may become better or worse ,” he said.   


He stressed the need for people to adhere to health measures .
