• Attorney General Sanjay Rajaratnam appointed this team following a discussion with a group of high - ranking officials

The Attorney General has appointed a team comprising Deputy Solicitor General Dileepa Pieris to provide legal advice with regard to police inquiries into the death of the under-aged girl who had been employed in the house of MP Rishad Bathiudeen, Attorney General’s Department sources said.  

Attorney General Sanjay Rajaratnam appointed this team following a discussion with a group of high- ranking officials including Senior DIG Deshabandu Thennakoon and the Director of the Police Children and Women’s Bureau at his office yesterday (22).
