Death toll due to adverse weather increases to 25: DMC



  • A total of 23 houses were destroyed and 1, 229 houses were partially damaged

Following the latest report issued by the Disaster Management Centre (DMC), the death toll relating to the adverse weather has increased to 25.   

Accordingly, the number of Divisional Secretariats affected has been increased to 145 in 17 districts. Seven people were injured while one person is missing.   


Meanwhile, more than 212, 030 people from more than 60, 264 families have been affected and they were sent to 76 safe locations managed by the DMC provincial offices. A total of 23 houses were destroyed and 1, 229 houses were partially damaged.
