Former cricketer turned ICC umpire Kumar Dharmasena has found himself embroiled in a scandal after a video of an individual resembling him engaging in a lewd act surfaced on social media. 
The Daily Mirror reached out to Dharmasena on his verified Facebook account and over Whatsapp for a comment, but he did not respond despite indications that he had seen the messages.  While the origin of the video is unknown and the individual engaging with Dharmasena in a supposed video call is unidentified, it has been widely shared on social media platforms. 
Details of the authenticity and the timeline of its origin are yet to be ascertained.
