Dinesh Gunawardena discusses current issues with ILO Country Director

Minister of Public Administration, Home Affairs Provincial Councils and Local Government Dinesh Gunawardena who met the International Labour Organisation (ILO) Country Director Sri Lanka and Maldives Simrin Sing yesterday discussed current issues faced by the nation.

 Mr, Gunawardena stressed that the assistance given by the ILO to Sri Lanka is beyond financial value.
The discussions focused on providing further training on public administration to Sri Lankan public servants, and also and training Sri Lankans in health and care giving.


Ms. Sing praised Sri Lanka’s achievement in resolving industrial disputes and assured ILO will continuously support in this area.


She said Sri Lanka has shown a positive response in resolving transportation and health sector issues.
