SJB MP Field Marshal Sarath Fonseka requested journalists not to inconvenience him by repeatedly asking him if he will be a candidate at the next Presidential election.  
“If you ask anyone here, they’ll say that they’d like to be the next candidate. So don’t put me in a tough spot by asking me these questions,” Fonseka requested journalists.  

However, Fonseka stressed that he would not betray the voters of the Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) who have placed their confidence with him, by breaking away from the party.
