 The Education Ministry plans for the reopening of schools by the end of October or early November, depending on the success of the vaccination drive, Education Minister Dinesh Gunawardena said.

The Minister told Daily Mirror the school reopening was all the more important since it was something to do with the future of children.   After the outbreak of the pandemic, schools remained closed on most occasions with exams being postponed or delayed.
