United Nations Environment Programme Executive Director Erik Solheim flew into the country yesterday, a senior official at the Katunayake Airport confirmed.  

He said Mr.Solheim, a former Norwegian minister reached Colombo from Chennai.  The former chief negotiator between the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) and the Sri Lankan government, Eric Solheim will meet President Ranil Wickremesinghe during his stay in the island.
