“Even if India sends a C team to Sri Lanka they will win. The Lankans recently lost to Bangladesh,” Pakistani wicket-keeper, batsman Kamran Akmal said ahead of India’s tour of Sri Lanka in July this year, Indian media reported.

Kamran Akmal made a highlighted comment in his YouTube Channel. Sri Lanka will tour England for the limited-overs series before the home series against India.

India are scheduled to tour Sri Lanka for the limited-overs series in July this year. India will play five T20Is, and three ODIs during the tour. But the touring squad to Sri Lanka won’t be the regular Indian squad.
India will play New Zealand in the final ICC World Test Championship at Southampton, England. Following the Test Championship Final, India will play a five-match Test series against England which will kickstart India’s next Test Championship. Between the two assignments, India will have more than a one month gap.
The Sri Lanka tour is scheduled during the gap. India are scheduled to tour Sri Lanka, where none of the Indian players in the Test squad won’t be participating. But still, India are having a strong subsidiary squad to tour Sri Lanka. It shows India’s bench strength is more than enough to play multiple series simultaneously.
Sri Lanka have recently lost the three-match ODI series to Bangladesh. The recent form of Sri Lanka is a much worrying factor for the national team.

“Full credit to India’s mindset. Two teams will be playing at a time, one in England and one in Sri Lanka. Their cricket culture is so strong that they can field even three international teams at the same time. This is because they have made no compromises at the grass-root level,” Akmal said in his YouTube Channel “Catch and Bat with Kamran Akmal”.
