The Ministry of Health has suspended the exclusive fuel arrangements for Health Care Workers for 48 hours.

The Health Ministry Secretary has made a written request to the Secretary to the Public Administration Ministry, Defence Ministry and Ministry of Power and Energy to defer this special facility considering the prevailing situation and the current circumstances.

The Health Ministry said a new date will be notified in due course after subsequent review.
This special facility was recently introduced for health care workers to obtain fuel at 113 filling stations islandwide.
