Former Senior DIG Lalith Jayasinghe was sentenced to 5 years imprisonment by Ratnapura High Court for intimidating then Kahawatte OIC to prevent the arrest of MP Premalal Jayasekera over a shooting incident during the 2015 Presidential election.
