Former Social Media Activist Priyath Nikeshala was arrested over a complaint lodged by Former Kaduwela Deputy Mayor Chandika Abeyratne yesterday.   

He was arrested while receiving treatment. Former Mayor Abeyratne was also arrested by the police.   Nikeshala earlier alleged that he was attacked by the Deputy Mayor in retaliation for assaulting him and pushing him into the Beira Lake on May 9 last year.
