TNA MP Shanakiyan Rasamanickam yesterday charged that there were dramas during the election of the Deputy Speaker.   

“We heard the Former Prime Minister going and asking the government MPs whether they are going to vote for Ranjith Siyambalapitiya. 

 This is a drama,” he said.  Meanwhile, MP Wickremesinghe said he will make a statement in Parliament today and reveal what happened with the election of the Deputy Speaker.   

He was of the opinion that what he said should be recorded in the Hansard. However, he denied the remark made by MP Rasamanickam.
