The allies of the New Democratic Front (NDF) who met yesterday together with Former President Ranil Wickremesinghe decided to appoint a four member committee to probe Karunanayake whom they accused of foul play in getting himself nominated from the national list.   

The members of the committee include legal officers Kumar Dunusinghe, Indika Weragoda, Dr.Withanage and Yasas de Silva.   
The committee is expected to submit a report to Mr. Wickremesinghe within three weeks and will also be submitted to the UNP working committee according to party sources. The UNP working committee is expected to meet after Mr. Wickremesinghe returns from his tour to India. He is expected to leave for India today.
