Friday March 22 at 7pm in Kandy En-route to illuminate Kandy with a jazz night celebrating the Great American Songbook



Atelier Kandy, renowned for its cultural vibrancy, is poised to host an unforgettable Friday evening of jazz as En-route, the esteemed jazz ensemble, prepares to take the stage in a celebration of the Great American Songbook. On the eve of this highly anticipated event, anticipation is building among music aficionados and enthusiasts alike for an evening of soulful melodies and timeless classics.  
Atelier Kandy, the esteemed cultural hub nestled in the heart of Kandy city, is hosting this enchanting jazz night that will transport audiences through the golden era of music. For jazz aficionados, this event presents a rare opportunity to experience the magic of live music in an intimate setting. With its cozy ambiance and nature rich surroundings, the venue is the perfect backdrop for an evening of jazz that is sure to leave a lasting impression.   


The four-piece jazz ensemble of seasoned musicians with a deep passion for jazz is led by Dr Gananath Dassanayake, with veteran musicians Shobi Perera on bass and Dilip Seneviratne on piano whilst Charith Fernando mans the helm as the band’s drummer. 
They are renowned for their ability to breathe new life into classic compositions while staying true to their essence. This is their 4th show at Atelier Kandy, with the aim to bring a bigger spotlight to Kandy’s Jazz scene.
