Fuel prices reduced

The Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC) and Lanka Indian Oil Company decided  yesterday to reduce the retail prices of their fuel.  The price of Octane 92 petrol will be reduced by Rs.20 a litre to Rs.450.

The price of a litre of Octane 95 (Euro 4) petrol will be reduced by Rs.10, and the new price will be Rs.540.
The price of a litre of Lanka white diesel will be reduced by Rs.20, and thus the new price will be Rs.440.
A litre of Super Diesel (four star Euro 4) will be reduced by Rs.10, and the new price will be Rs.510.
The CPC also said a special plan in place to ensure continual distribution of Octane 95 and Lanka White Diesel for consumers from July 21.
