• Says report consists only the notes of the discussion

State Minister Lasantha Alagiyawanna yesterday requested the Speaker to summon the consultative committee of the Trade Ministry again to further discuss and find solutions to the issue of LP gas cylinder explosions.

The Minister told Parliament that the committee which met on December 1, 2021, had not provided final solutions and recommendations on the matter.

Presenting in Parliament the report of the special consultative committee meeting convened by the Speaker to discuss the gas explosions, the Minister said the report consists only of the notes of the discussion.
“I request the Speaker to summon the meeting once again. This report only contains minutes of the meeting.
