Gazette designating Central Expressway’s Meerigama-Kurunegala section issued



  • The stretch of road is 40.910 km long and 80-100 metres wide, situated between Meerigama (36.981km) and Kurunegala (77.891km)

A special gazette notification was issued announcing the Meerigama-Kurunegala section of the Central Expressway (E-04) which was designated as an Expressway to be a 'User Fee National Highway'.  The gazette notification was issued by the Highways Minister Johnston Fernando. 

The stretch of road is 40.910 km long and 80-100 meters wide, situated between Meerigama (36.981km) and Kurunegala (77.891km) of the Central Expressway, the gazette notification said.
