Mr. Navarathna, in a Facebook post, confirmed that he had fallen sick and requested his contacts to self-isolate. “I request all those who were in contact with me to go for self-quarantine for a few days,” he said in his Facebook post.

 MP Navarathna told Daily Mirror that he and his daughter had tested positive, and they had been asked to stay at home as they have no symptoms.

 He is the second MP to test positive within the last few days and the tenth parliamentarian in the month.
