Govt. Requests another credit facility from India

 The government has sought another credit facility from India during Indian External Affairs Minister Dr.S.Jaishankar visit to the country, a top source revealed.


Accordingly, Finance Minister Basil Rajapaksa has requested for the facility in addition to the US $ 1 billion credit and US$ 500 million credit line to purchase essential food commodities, fuel and pharmaceuticals from India. Dr. Jaishankar is reported to have responded positively to the latest request.
