State Minister of Education S. Arvinda Kumar stressed that the government was not prepared to hold any election soon in view of the economic crisis facing the country.
He told the media after a meeting of principals of schools in the Hatton Education Zone that holding an election when the government was endeavouring to overcome the economic crisis would cost a heavy expenditure. He pointed out that it was not appropriate to hold an election at this crucial juncture.
The state minister further said according to his knowledge the government would not hold any election soon and that any constituent party to the government was not ready to face an election.
