Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe states that the government has planned to maintain the supply of fuel for three-wheelers in a manner that will not be a problem in the future, a statement from his office said.
This was stated by the Prime Minister during a meeting with representatives of the Three-Wheeler Associations last afternoon.
The Prime Minister agreed to support the establishment of a three-wheeler regulatory body.
The Prime Minister pointed out that the country needs $500 million a month to import the required fuel.
Therefore, discussions were held at length on measures to be taken to protect the three-wheeler industry in the future in view of the crisis the country is facing.
