Harin, Manusha reappointed to UNP Working Committee

• Suspension of more SJBers to be removed soon
• UNP canot be washed out,it will emerge stronger

Ministers Harin Fernando and Manusha Nanayakakra were reappointed to the UNP Working Committee today.  

The decision to include the two Ministers was made at the UNP Working Committee which met at party headquarters Sirikotha this evening.  

The suspension of the two ministers from the UNP were also removed as per the decision of the Working Committee.  
The UNP membership of Ministers Fernando and Nanayakkara were suspended along with others when they formed the Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) in 2020.  
UNP General Secretary Palitha Range Bandara said suspension of party members of few others will also be removed as and when they rejoin the UNP. “Some SJBers will rejoin the UNP soon. 

Nobody can wash away the UNP. It will come out strong before long,” he told journalists.   

UNP also decided to hold a convention on September 10 and to form a special committee to handle political affairs and another team to be in charge of digital affairs of the party.
