Harin and Manusha expelled from SJB

Ministers Harin Fernando and Manusha Nanayakkara who were  members of Samagi Jana Balawegaya have been expelled from the party, an  SJB senior said yesterday. 

 SJB senior members who did not wish to be named told  Daily Mirror that both were expelled following a decision taken by the  party’s working committee which met last evening.   
Both crossed over to the government and accepted  ministerial portfolios after incumbent President Ranil Wickremesinghe  was sworn in as Prime Minister prior to his election as the President last  year.   

The expulsion comes just weeks after former MP Hirunika  Premachandra publicly criticised SJB leadership for not taking action  against the two ministers and to stop more crossovers.   
Efforts made by Daily Mirror to contact the two ministers  failed as they were busy at a meeting with President Ranil  Wickremesinghe.
