Despite the claim made by former Maldivian President Mohamed Nasheed that his story is not accurate, SJB MP Harsha de Silva said he stands by what he said.

“With all due respect for my friend President Mohamed Nasheed, I stand by what I said referring to the conversation with him a few weeks back,” he stressed. “However, I am happy to note his belief now that many nations are eager to help Sri Lanka,” Dr. de Silva added.
