Indian Air Force to airlift consignments of NANO Nitrogen fertilizer: Minister



  • Govt’s policy of switching to bio-agriculture unchanged

Agriculture Minister Mahindananda Aluthgamage said the Indian Air Force had undertaken to airlift the consignments of NANO Nitrogen fertilizer urgently required by the agricultural sector.   

Addressing a meeting at Gannoruwa to distribute agricultural tools among 1.2 million farmer families, he said this step had been taken to expedite the import of Nitrogen fertilizer and that six Indian Air Force planes was carrying a large consignment of Nitrogen fertilizer were scheduled to arrive.  


He said airlifting of Indian NANO Nitrogen would continue, and that the government’s policy of switching to bio-agriculture would remain unchanged.  


State Minister of Rural Housing and Construction Indika Anuruddha, and several senior officials were present at the occasion.
