JICA extends aid support to Power Sector Reforms

Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) has extended a financial grant and consultants to the Power Sector Reform Secretariat, which was recently established at the Ministry of Power and Energy. Minister of Power and Energy Kanchana Wijesekera tweeted that he met with Dr Megumi Muto, JICA Vice President for Development Finance, Partnership and Mobilization and Chief Representative JICA to Sri Lanka, and its officials to discuss power sector reforms, renewable energy plans, green recovery and other climate change related topics yesterday.

The Minister also said that he thanked JICA for their financial and technical assistance extended to Sri Lanka.
