Jeep driven by businessman’s teenage son kills child

A luxury jeep, reportedly driven by a 17-year-old boy, was involved in a tragic accident near the Gampola bus stand which resulted in the death of a three-and-a-half-year-old boy.
The child, identified as Mohammad Siras Amde, had recently returned to Gampola from overseas.
According to police, the collision occurred when the jeep struck a three-wheeler, leading to severe injuries for three other individuals as well. After the initial impact, the jeep continued for several meters before veering into the Gampola private bus station, where it collided with a fruit vendor and another nearby three-wheeler before finally coming to a stop.
The Gampola police are investigating the incident.
