  • Shipments of 3,600 MT due on April 25 and 26

The Litro Gas Lanka Ltd stated that they would not be able  to distribute domestic gas cylinders to the market until April 25 due to  dearth of stocks in hand, a company official said.

He said the company is in a critical situation of  streamlining the distribution network, as ships freighting gas haven’t  yet reached the shores.

“We have an issue with the supply chain that shuttles gas.  Nevertheless, the current gas scarcity in the country would return to  normal within a couple of months,” the official said.

Earlier, LITRO gas distribution to the market was annulled from April 12, except for commercial purposes.
Moreover, the official said gas shipments of 3,600 MT are  due on April 25 and 26. Immediately afterwards, the company would be in a  position to resume distribution.
