Rev.Fr. Cyril Gamini Fernando through his legal consultants Premier Legal Consultants informed CID that he was unable to comply with the latter's request to give a statement, as instructed by the Supreme courts. 

Fr. Fernando was summoned to the CID with regard to a statement he made recently referring to Intelligence Officers. 

"We are instructed to inform you that our client had already filed SC FR application 344/2021 with the Supreme Court complaining that he is under imminent infringement of the rights guaranteed to him by Articles 12, 13(1) , 14( 1) (a) and that he is unable to be present for questioning by the CID in compliance with the directions given by Supreme Court"  Fr. Fernando's Lawyers said presenting the documents to the CID.
