Light training aircraft makes emergency landing in Beruwala

  • An instructor and a trainee pilot were on-board the plane which had left from Ratmalana
  • Rescue teams from the SLAF rescue team had been dispatched to the area

A light training aircraft belonging to a private company (Sakurai Aviation) made an emergency landing on a beach in the Beruwala area yesterday afternoon.  

A spokesman of the private aviation company told Daily Mirror that an instructor and a trainee pilot were on-board the plane which had left from Ratmalana, when it had made the emergency landing due to a technical difficulty.  
No injuries to individuals or damages to the aircraft were reported.  


However, rescue teams from the Sri Lanka Air Force rescue team had been dispatched to the area soon after the incident.
