A 52-year old man was killed when a luxury SUV driven by a woman at Bokundara in Piliyandala crashed into a wall last morning, the Police said.  

The SUV was traveling from Piliyandala to Colombo when it crashed into a nearby concrete wall of a workshop and subsequently hit the man who was walking on the pavement.  

The deceased was a resident of Werahera, Boralesgamuwa.  

Traffic flow from Piliyandala to Colombo was severely disrupted due to the accident.  

The 53-year-old female driver of the SUV from Nugegoda was arrested and is to be produced before the Kesbewa Magistrate’s Court.
