Madhumadhawa Aravinda, a well-known singer, was arrested by the expressway police at the Kadawatha Expressway entry point yesterday for a traffic violation, according to the police.
He has been taken into custody on charges of causing damage to at least ten roadblocks at the entry point.

The police stated that investigations are underway to determine whether he was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the incident. He was handed over to the Kadawatha Police by the expressway police and was expected to be released on police bail by last evening, the police added.
