• The victim aged 43 was a father of two

A man had been stabbed to death following a dispute during a wedding ceremony, according to Weligama Police.The victim aged 43 was a father of two and a resident of Walana area in Weligama. The stabbing had taken place around 11 pm on October 19. 

On receiving serious injuries, the victim had been admitted to Weligama District Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries. 

Three suspects connected to the incident have fled the area, and Crimes Investigation Unit Acting OIC, Sub Inspector M. A. P. G. Nandasiri has begun investigations to arrest them on the instructions of Weligama Police HQ Inspector D. M. Abeysekara.
