‘Meenagaya’ intercity express train attacked at Kekirawa station

The Meenagaya Intercity Express Train (6079) was pelted with stones at the Kekirawa Railway Station last morning, a railway senior official said.  


They said the train was approaching the Kekirawa railway station, when some unruly elements started hurling stones at the train. 

Several windows of the train, including the windscreen, were shattered during the attack. The train was on its way to Batticaloa from Colombo Fort. The train left Fort at 7.15 pm on Wednesday
